PASSION + PURPOSE, Part 3: Going Deeper Questions

PASSION + PURPOSE, Part 3: Going Deeper Questions

We loved seeing everyone at church this weekend!  Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions about the sermon. If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, be sure to check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Wednesday morning.

Every week, it’s our goal to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally, or with a small group. Here are some questions for you to consider from this week’s message, “Take the Stairs”, part 3 of the PASSION + PURPOSE series, with Pastor Shawn.

KEY SCRIPTURE

TALK IT OUT

  • We’ve been talking about how to live out our “WHATEVER” from Colossians 3:17. Last week, we talked about excellence being our standing and distinction being our calling card. What do you think about this week’s advice to make costly consistency your grid? What does that mean to you?
  • Think through all of the steps Pastor Shawn highlighted — humility, training, adaptability, trial and error, hunger, faithfulness, perseverance, and cost. Have you experienced these steps on your journey to walk out your passions?
  • Does the discussion on “taking the stairs” give you a feeling of determination or does it feel overwhelming? Why?
  • When you think about your “actions” taken from Psalms 37 (NASB) — trust, do good, dwell, cultivate, delight, commit, and trust (again) — how does God’s part — He will give you the desires of your heart and He will do it — make you feel?
