ENCOUNTERING GOD IN THE PRACTICAL
The purpose of this retreat is twofold: to encounter the love of our Father, and secondly, to learn to encounter Him in daily, practical ways.
Do you struggle to connect with God? How is your prayer life? Do you find encounters with Holy Spirit to be rare? It does not need to be occasional, overly mystical, or mysterious. At this retreat, we will delve into encountering God in practical ways. It’s like breathing. God is speaking. Let’s listen.
RETREAT SPEAKER: Jim Waldrop
“I have many passions, but my greatest desire is to walk with Jesus. Spending quiet time outside is the best way for me to connect with the Heavenly Father. Staying physically fit is important to me. Family keeps me busy, as we have five kids and five grandkids, whom we enjoy spending time with often.”
“I have facilitated several Bible studies and men’s ministry groups. I strongly believe men need to connect on a regular basis to encourage and build each other up in the faith.”
RETREAT INFORMATION
All food allergies or special diets should be communicated to the men’s ministry leader a few weeks prior to the retreat. Bedding is included, but additional bedding can be purchased at the camp. All guests need to bring any additional towels they want, as well
as their personal toiletries.
The Camper Health and Release form will be completed on arrival as well, as a COVID form.
The cost is $60 per person. This covers meals and lodging. If you need any help paying, speak to the men’s ministry leader or Pastor Shawn.
Fees must be paid before October 26, unless prior arrangements have been made. Payments can be made by cash or check to “Destiny Foursquare Church.”
