LINCOLN PARK EMERGE CHURCH OUTREACH

All year long, we have encouraged those who felt the Holy Spirit lead to sow into and partner with Judah and Candace Trabulsi as they have accepted the call to plant a church in the inner city of Denver, CO. Many of you first met Judah when he was our guest speaker at last year’s 24th birthday celebration at Destiny. There was an instant connection! And we wanted to wrap up this year of partnership with a boots-on-the-ground trip. It ended up being transformational on so many different levels for the team of 10 of us who went down.

Our main goal was to love and serve the people of Lincoln Park. And to come alongside Judah and Candace, showing them how much we believe in them and want to see them succeed. We partnered with them in refurbishing the home of the Prieto family. Cathy is considered a mother in the neighborhood, which we all witnessed firsthand. She cares for generation upon generation in her own family and also for loved ones on her block. We had two days to accomplish the taste set before us, and we watched God perform miracle after miracle to make it happen.

The video highlights a couple of different times of worship we had together, hands-on ministry, and 2 full work days at Cathy’s house. We removed everything in her living room, dining room, and bedroom to make space for the work crew. We then taped, primed, painted, trimmed, and did some minor repairs on walls and corners, along with replacing a back storm door, before moving everything back in again. The transformation was astounding! And God’s hand upon the team was so evident as we worked together in harmony.

We watched and heard story after story after story of God using Judah and Candace and their church plant team in Lincoln Park. We also watched people walk into Cathy’s house during the work days, whose eyes got immediately watery. People — her family, friends, and neighbors — were moved by the crowded and dark house being transformed into a bright, beautiful, and roomy space for Cathy and her family. It was such a tremendous thing to witness! God is moving big in Lincoln Park, and our team was so privileged to jump in and witness it.
