Come to the Table: A Morning with Jared and Ashley Dupert

Come to the Table: A Morning with Jared and Ashley Dupert

We loved seeing everyone this weekend! Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions. If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Tuesday afternoon.

Every week, we aim to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally or with a small group. Here are some questions for you to consider from the message “Come to the Table” with Jared and Ashley Dupert.

KEY SCRIPTURE

  • Song of Songs (Song of Solomon) 2:11-13
  • Philippians 2
  • Isaiah 40:29-30
  • Psalm 55:22
  • Jeremiah 31:25-26
  • Jeremiah 29:11
  • Psalm 23
  • Revelation 21:41
  • Psalm 139
  • Acts 2:46

TALK IT OUT

Discuss these questions with someone—maybe a family member, friend, or member of your Connect Group. Use a communication method that works best for your situation.

START TALKING

Find a conversation starter.

  • Are you hiding something from God and/or needing a new season to start? Explain, then ask God for his insights
  • What are you trying to overcome or what have you overcome? (If in a group be mindful of the details.)
  • What areas in your life are broken or has been broken?
  • Where do you need God’s restoration power? Explain

START THINKING

Ask a question to get you/your group thinking.

  • How strong are your waiting skills? Do they need work? Explain
  • What is your first reaction when God says, “Not now, my Beloved One?”
  • What does worship look like in the waiting times of your life?
  • Is there any grief in your waiting or you are going through?

START SHARING

Choose a question to create openness.

  • Where is your heart? What is attached or attacking your heart?
  • How easy is it to be real with other people, especially fellow believers? Explain
  • Do you need more laughter in your life?
  • Are you dreaming or surviving? Explain/evaluate.

START PRAYING

Be bold and pray with power.

Heavenly Father,

I know you are looking out for the best for me even when I do not see it or am aware of it. Help me to start living the life you have dreamed and planned for me. Teach me how to dream with you and quit being a survivor. Thank you for loving me, even when I am not acting like the most lovable person in the world.

Amen.

START DOING

Commit to a step and live it out this week.

  1. Do a word study on either satisfy or worship. Then put what you have learned into a picture and share it with another person or pet.
  2. Do a word study of “Praise” and “worship” to determine the difference. Then search your heart to determine/notice which you use the most.
  3. Evaluate who you are when you are with believers versus those who are not believers, a.k.a; those who do not attend your church building.
  4. Seek God’s help to determine if you need more laughter and if you are a dreamer or a survivor.
  5. Pray for Shawn, Deanna, and family.
  • Pick one or two of those options and take steps to walk them out this week.
